The Association is classified to be among the top class in Finland
The aim Of the society
Is to promote and popularise the revival of old Finnish traditions, such as
folk-dance, games, music and folklore, as well as the making and wearing of
traditional costumes, especially among young people
v The association constantly practices and performs folk-dances, games, songs
and music.
v It also teaches these arts, and arranges festivals and evening entertainmentv
It is also important for the association to establish and maintain contacts with
other organisations and associations in order to develop its work both
nationally and internationally.
International Activities Performance and guests
The association has visited Sweden, Denmark, France, Switzerland, Holland,
Hungry, Soviet Union, Czechoslovakia, Poland, Bulgaria and Estonia.
